Coming to The Great Junk Hunt is a one-of-a-kind experience! There is nothing like walking into the market with your friends, with music playing and seeing the hundreds of beautiful booths with tons of vintage and unique items to browse and buy. Here are five tips for a successful shopping trip at The Great Junk hunt.
Have a strategy
Plan out your strategy – Make a list of items you are looking for beforehand and as you walk around the market, make sure that check every area so you don’t miss anything. We suggest going around twice… you never know what you may have missed the first time around!
Eary Bird gets the worm!
Get there early for the best selection - The best pieces usually sell first, so the sooner you arrive, the more inventory you have to choose from!
Fully charge your phone
Fully charge your phone - Take a picture of where you parked so you can find your way back easily. Take photos of any large purchases you make, to help you remember to return for pickup.
Bring a bag or wagon
Bring a market bag – Take a bag or tote to carry your finds; a bag with long handles that can be slung over the shoulder is best. For heavier items, bring a wagon or a cart. Wagons are not allowed at our Monroe location, per fire marshal’s request.
Bring a tape Measure
Be ready to measure – Carrying a measuring tape is helpful if you’re looking for a piece to fit in a specific place in your home!
